Anxiety and Depression – course available through Mental Health Matters
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) – is a two day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. It teaches participants to recognise when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Available through Advocacy Support Cymru

Mental Health Awareness (for Managers) – is an interactive full-day course for managers. Available through Mental Health First Aid Wales
Mental Health First Aid – this course teaches adults how to provide Mental Health First Aid to friends, families and co-workers. Available through the following organisations:
safeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone – is a half day workshop that complements the more comprehensive 2-day ASIST delivery and other suicide intervention training programmes. safeTALK is intended to widen the reach of suicide alert helper by attempting to ensure that thoughts of suicide aren’t missed, dismissed or avoided. Self Harm – course available through Mental Health Matters
Suicide Awareness – 1 day course that is designed to raise participants awareness of suicide and agencies that people can be signposted to for help. Available through Mental Health First Aid Wales
Suicide and Debt – course for advisors wanting to increase their confidence in dealing with clients presenting with suicidal thoughts. Available through Mental Health First Aid Wales
Swansea Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS) and Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service (NPT CVS) are the umbrella organisations for voluntary activity throughout Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. They support, develop and represent voluntary organisations, volunteer and communities across the region.
They can assist organisations to access appropriate training to ensure that professionals develop and update their skills, knowledge and confidence.
